NAMN (Nordic Adolescent Medicine Network)

NAMN is a co-operation between the adolescent medicine groups belonging to the national paediatric associations in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
The network started in 2006 when The Nordic Paediatric Federation invited representatives from all five countries to a meeting in Copenhagen. The network is also connected to the European Association for Adolescent Health (EAAH) and the International Association for Adolescent Health (IAAH).

The aim of the network is to give and recieve support and inspiration from each other in order to develope adolescent medicine in the nordic countries.
The main purpose of the website is to present scientific articles, projects, reports and ideas from each country (see links to the countries) as well as conferences, meetings, courses (Conferences) and What´s going on.
The common language is English. Danish, Norwegian and Swedish is permitted if necessary. Icelandic and Finnish will probably be harder to understand for some of us.
The network and its website is open for everyone interested in adolescent medicine. If you like to get in touch with colleagues in the Nordic countries, or you have ideas or questions about the network, you are welcome to contact the webmaster t.melin@swipnet.se
A nordic group of pediatricians is responsible for the network:
Denmark: Tina Messell, Kirsten Boisen
Finland: Raisa Lounamaa
Iceland: Katrin Davidsdottír, Ragnar Bjarnason
Norway: Froydis Olafsen, Gunhild Helsvig
Sweden: Margrethe Krabbe, Tommy Melin
